OttoMap can't read Word documents, so you must export your turn reports to text files.
We recommend working with a single turn report at a time.
NOTE: You must start with your first turn report file.
OttoMap plots all movement starting from your tribe's first hex.
Copy and Paste on Windows and Linux
Open the Turn Report (the DOCX file that was emailed to you).
Select all the text and copy it to the clipboard.
Open a text editor (e.g., Notepad on Windows, TextEdit on macOS, or Gedit on Linux).
Paste the text from the clipboard into the text editor.
For your first turn report, you must ensure that your Clan's first hex has a grid reference.
Examine the first line in the new text file.
If the "Previous Hex" starts with hash marks ("##"), change then to a valid grid reference.
(You can use "KK" if you're not sure which grid your clan started in).
Save the file with a name like YYYY-MM.CLAN.report.txt (e.g., "0901-02.0987.report.txt").
